“Not comprehending, what I will be when I wake after enduring.”

- Czesław Miłosz

Mental Health Counseling

My style of practice is rooted in building a strong therapeutic alliance. Through this, the goal is to be able to give you space in the present moment for your thoughts, feelings, and sensations that bring you distress, confuse you, or obstruct you from meaningfulness. The space we give to these elements is not in an effort to “figure out” or to “fix” them, but to understand and be with them through compassion, openness, and unconditional regard. This process in turn helps you find relief from heightened distress, and feel comfortable within your mind and body again.

Tailored to Your Needs

It is my goal and determination to tailor therapy to your specific needs. Each individual may require something different, whether it is more or less direction, guidance, structure, space, or somatic awareness. I work to collaborate with each person to identify what your therapeutic needs are, and strive to help you get the most out of our time together.

Within this space, I am trained in and informed by different philosophies and schools of thought, including: Existential Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Theory, Internal Family Systems, Neurobiology, Brainspotting (level 1), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Who I Work With

I work best with individuals who are ages 16 and up. Many, but not all, of my clients identify as within the LGBTQIA+ community, and as neurodiverse or questioning. I also work well with other counselors, therapists, and a myriad of other healthcare providers.

I find great passion in working with those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, (complex) post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, and life transitions. Often times the clients I work with are experiencing high self-doubt (to the point of self-loathing), listlessness, emotional disconnection from themselves and others (sometimes in the form of dissociation), and intensified post-traumatic symptoms such as hypervigilance, negative or distorted thoughts and beliefs about themselves and the world, and heightened emotional distress.

Insurance and Fees

I currently accept PacificSource (OHP and Commercial), OHP Open Card, MODA, Regence (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), and Providence. If your insurance allows for out-of-network reimbursement, I can also provide you a statement to send to your company for you to receive partial reimbursement if you are paying out of pocket.

For self-paying clients, fees vary depending on time of session and service rendered:

Individual 53+ minute psychotherapy: $225

Individual 37-53 minute psychotherapy: $175

Assessment: $250

I offer sliding scale pricing, so please feel free to reach out to me regarding accommodations.
